One of the most impactful parts of the program is Finn’s Mission where you and your student will learn Hands-Only CPR, know how to spot stroke warning signs and raise funds to help kids with special hearts.

3. Complete Finn’s Mission in your headquarters. Once you do, you'll be entered to win a pair of tickets to Super Bowl LXI in 2027!

We are SO proud of our incredible students who participated in this year’s Southside Elementary STEM Fair! The creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving on display truly showcased the innovation happening every day at Southside. 💡🔬🚀
Our students asked thoughtful questions, tested hypotheses, analyzed data, and confidently shared their learning. It was inspiring to see them embrace the engineering design process and scientific inquiry with such enthusiasm and perseverance.

Two-Hour Delay for Carlin, Elko and Spring Creek Schools
2/18/26 Two Hour Delays
Due to overnight snow accumulations and windy weather conditions, there will be a two-hour delayed start at CARLIN, ELKO, and SPRING CREEK schools today, Wednesday, February 18. Classes will begin two hours later than their typical start time, and bus pick ups will run exactly two hours later.
Please remember to drive slowly and carefully. Students will be waiting for buses, walking to school at different times, using different routes, and may be walking in the street due to snowy sidewalks. Please help keep our students safe and look out for each other.

Southside loves our third-grade teachers and all the hard work they put in every day! 💙 This year, we were excited to welcome three new faces to the team - Staci Morquecho, who moved up from 2nd grade, and new hires Samantha Scroggins and Amy Boluna.
This dedicated group has jumped right in, bringing energy, creativity, and teamwork to our 3rd graders. From lesson planning to supporting each other, they go above and beyond to make learning fun and meaningful.
And of course… we can’t forget their matching Halloween shirts that said “Haunted by 6-7” - because if you know, you know! 😂
